What we’re all about

 

Claire Greenwood, creator and founder of Tappy Toes, has been dancing since the age of three.

 

Claire trained at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom, Surrey, on a three year musical theatre course. She gained Distinctions in Ballet, Modern and Tap ISTD Teaching Associates, and an Anatomy Diploma.


A professional dancer since 1998, she has performed with major pop artists including Destiny’s Child, KT Tunstal and Catherine Jenkins.

In west end venues like the Royal Albert Hall and the London Palladium, and in countless hair and fashion shows for companies including Marks and Spencer, Levis, Clarks, Wella and L’oreal. She has appeared on Top of the Pop’s, MTV, the Brit Awards, a series for ITV1, and a cinema and TV campaign for Lynx.

 

She is now an accomplished choreographer having worked on adverts for the Olympics 2012, Moshi Monsters and Lumi Jewellery, and on TV shows including CBeebies, Nuzzle and Scratch and a Teachers TV series.

 

With over 15 years of teaching experience behind her, Claire created Tappy Toes in order to develop imagination, build confidence, improve coordination and inspire creativity in your youngsters, and to provide a fun but controlled environment for mother and toddler to bond.

 

 



 

Petra Durdikova Irish franchisee

 

Petra graduated with distinctions in Ballet, Modern and Folklore Dance at Conservatory Kosice,performed in Janka Borodaca theatre in Kosice for four years and took part in the most famous ballets Swan Lake, Giselle and The Nutcracker.

 

Petras experience is vast working as a dancer and assistant choreographer and choreographer in corporate shows all over europe. Petra is very proud to say she choreographed an Olympic advert for London 2012 with some very talented children from Rise-studios.

 

Petra moved to England in 2002 where she spent 10 years teaching choreographing and performing in local dance schools and annual shows. Her passion and enthusiasm for teaching has grown over the years and with 4 years experience already teaching Tappy Toes in the UK she is now ready to take this knowledge and share it with Ireland.
